Toxic Childhood

'Toxic Childhood' refers to the negative effects of modern society on children’s development, caused by factors like excessive screen time, academic pressure, poor nutrition, and weakened family bonds in terms of sociology. It is also linked to broader structural issues such as poverty, inequality, and lack of access to supportive services. These conditions can harm a child's emotional, social, and cognitive well-being.

The Seeds of Change organization focuses on children’s involvement in community service to help counteract toxic childhood by promoting positive socialization, empowerment, and mental well-being. Through meaningful engagement, children build confidence, develop social skills, and form supportive networks, which foster resilience and a sense of purpose which brings forth protective factors against the harmful effects of toxic environments.
